Climbing trees and bumped Knees.

Lucy had a very interesting day.

At nearly eight, Lucy feels she has a very clear grasp on reality. As this story will prove, there are times when even perfect Lucy's world view is not quite correct.

Last weekend the sun shone and the birds were very busy singing in the trees. I picked up Lucy and we decided to head off to Cannizaro Park, Wimbledon. As ever George came with us.

Cannizaro Park is beautiful and has lots of great tree climbing opportunities. Lucy being an anti-gravity expert climbs the most difficult and problematic trees to be found in this part of west London. Today was no exception.

Having climbed almost every tree in the park I decided it was a good time to leave. We were all still attached to our limbs and no one had any other serious injuries. At that exact moment Lucy spied the most impossible tree ever!

The base of the tree was about the average width of most peoples homes and the first available branch to climb was well above her head. Being a mug I offered to give her a lift up! Never ever will I offer such a thing again.

Lucy spent the next half an hour climbing arround the tree and then rather loudly and very alarmingly announched she was stuck. Being a brave (some would say mad) kind of soul I climbed the tree to rescue her. I am no tree climber.

Lucy of course, got down with little difficulty but I needed about five different men to assist me. How embarrassing!!
