Misleading crime figures disgrace

The just released crime figures are totally misleading.

With little or no account taken of richer pickings from:

1) Human trafficking ($42.5 billion per annum)
2) Drug trafficking ($400 billion per annum)
3) Little action in the UK on Internet (cyber) crime ($119 billion per annum)

the figures just released are meaningless. The Government and Police need to wake up to the fact that criminals have moved on to target easier prey. It is a little known fact that there are more victims of human trafficking today than the numbers sold into slavery in the entire 400 year period of the 'Slave Trade'.

Human and drug trafficking is run by criminal gangs making vast sums of money. Human trafficking is rapidly overtaking drug trafficking in terms of the wealth it generates for the gangs, and Governments in the West are doing little to stop them. It can be argued that the previous Labour Goverment through its approval of lap dancing clubs actually encouraged human trafficking. Most of those trafficked are women and a high proportion are children sold into the sex trade. (1.2 million children per annum)

The few Internet criminals that are caught usually get light sentences, and of course now that Ken Clarke is running the show this situation will get worse.
